MZ-800 expansion card
My first computer was Sharp MZ-821 and I still have it and it is still working.
But I used TV as monitor and nowadays it is not so "in" to use TV so I tried to
connect MZ-821 to VGA monitor. After some research (learning how CGA output and
VGA input works) I developed expansion card for MZ-800. It contains:
- Xilinx XC3S50 FPGA as main chipset (configuration Flash is also connected)
- Parallel Flash socket for ROM-disk
- Parallel SRAM for RAM-disk
- CGA input
- VGA output
- SD/MMC socket
VGA output is working well, SD/MMC basic I/O is working well, too. I started
working on SD/MMC loader but not finished yet. All essential files for this
project can be downloaded here.
